Ministry Spotlight: Missionary Robert Gray

No website. No blog. No YouTube channel. Yet in the biblical street evangelism community, Robert Gray is well-known.

As is the case with so many of the people I know in the biblical street evangelism community, I met Robert Gray when he attended Living Waters' Ambassadors' Academy.

Robert is a graduated of the United States Air Force Academy. He retired a couple of years ago after serving twenty years as an officer in the Air Force's law enforcement community. Unlike many in the world, Robert understands that Christians never retire from service. Christians never retire from serving the Lord.

Prior to his retirement, Robert had already decided how he wanted to spend the rest of his life. Robert committed to serving as one of the Lord's heralds of the gospel. For the last couple of years, Robert has been doing just that.

Robert has crisscrossed the United States several times--sometimes traveling alone; and other times as one in a team of evangelists. He has also traveled to Europe and Jamaica, preaching the gospel to the lost.

I know many fine men and women who serve as ambassadors of the Lord Jesus Christ. Robert, in my estimation, is one of the gentlest, humblest, yet most valiant and uncompromising preachers of the gospel I have ever met.

To be in Robert's presence is to be in the presence of quiet strength. He is not unlike Paul Washer, in this regard. In conversation, Robert speaks with almost a whisper. But when this man alights atop a box to herald the gospel of Jesus Christ, he becomes a son of thunder.

Robert's love for Christ, love for the gospel, love for the Church, and love for the lost is above reproach and is exemplified in his every-day life.
